I just deconstruct the gantry and leave my astronaut permanently in the rocket and don't use bunker doors, and put the bunker tiles underneath the rocket instead of above it. Skimmers remove large amounts of carbon dioxide, but produce no breathable air. It's not the bunker doors in consistent , instead the duration of meteor showers are inconsistent,.
